‘Virtue Inspired’ is a combination of our family name and our desire to create quality products that make us feel good when we bring them into our homes. It is our daily affirmation of what we do, and our name really is our Virtue!

Our ethos is simple: to create ethical, sustainable, handmade products that are inspired by the fresh scent of nature.

Scent is the magical ingredient that can influence our mood, emotions and evoke our memories. They are all around us and are the little triggers that have the power to transport us to places we would love to be in the present moment…and we don’t need suitcases or plane tickets to get there.
We want our products to make your home smell amazing whilst giving you that mindful moment, boost in mood or just simply time to pause and breathe.
It is all about the feeling and we would love to make a moment of self-care part of your everyday.
Our Products
Our products are handmade in small batches with love, care, and attention in the heart of Yorkshire. As our products are hand crafted each product is unique and individual in its own way, and we think this makes them extra special – lovingly made for you.
We like to keep things simple (as life is complicated enough) and use only natural plant-based wax, environmentally friendly bases and blend these with the highest-grade essential oils and paraben free fragrance oils that smell amazing and make you feel good inside and out. Our glass vessels can be recycled or repurposed and our packaging is both recycled and recyclable.
We have put together two beautiful collections, inspired by the natural world, using considered and sustainable ingredients, all presented with a clean and simple aesthetic in line with our values.
Our Wellbeing Collection is infused with essential oils which not only smell amazing but they can help transform our mood. They can be used in aromatherapy to support our well-being needs and are great for scenting our homes too. A great way to build a moment of self-care into our everyday.
Our Signature Collection is blended with the highest quality botanically inspired, paraben free fragrance oils to provide a fresh natural smelling scent boost to our home and help us relax and unwind through the reviving power of scent.
Our two collections are available in both natural soy candles and planet friendly reed diffusers.
As a small business we really want to grow in the right way so we listen to our customers, and take feedback to make products perfect for you.
Our Founder
I’m Ceri Virtue, founder of Virtue Inspired. I have always loved candles and how our sense of smell is so intrinsically linked to our memories and emotions, transporting us to a place where we can relax, unwind and just be in a moment.
As a mother to a young family I found it increasingly hard to juggle work, family life and have any sense of balance. What started as a hobby making candles inspired me to rethink, take a change in direction and leave the corporate world to set up my own business – and so Virtue Inspired was born.
I want to encapsulate what is important to me in my products. I love nature and how it makes me feel. I love fresh, natural smells. I want to work sustainably and ethically and look after our planet for future generations – as a mother this is really important to me.
I want to keep things simple in everything we do from design, to ingredients to packaging. I want to collate my passion to bring a little bit of the natural world into your space.

Sustainability Pledge
It’s really important to us to do things in the right way – we want to protect our planet. We put sustainability at the heart of everything we do and take every care to minimise our footprint on the planet and make sure our packaging and ingredients are as eco-friendly and recyclable as possible.
We are not perfect and as a small business we are still learning, but sustainability and protecting our planet is a key part of our values and is something that will continue to be a priority as we grow and develop – and that is a promise!
